Jung Joo Sohn is a product designer specializing in UX (User Experience) Research, Industrial Design, Interaction Design, and UI (User Interface) Design for consumer electronics. His research and practice are based on creating innovative solutions using cutting-edge technologies such as AI (Artificial Intelligence). Before joining Purdue University in 2019, Sohn spent over eight years as a UX designer in the Corporate Design Center at Samsung Electronics and was a visiting scholar with the Aware Home Research Initiative (AHRI) at Georgia Institute of Technology. As a multidisciplinary designer, he contributed to the development of emerging devices with various future displays (e.g., Flexible, Transparent, and Fabric displays), new mobile services (including AI, IoT: the Internet of Things, and healthcare), and associated user interfaces with cutting-edge technologies in growth markets. Sohn is currently the Design Director at invisible.visible.lab and Assistant Professor at Purdue University in the United States.
