STARK — a brand created for a real estate project in Vladivostok, Russia. The concept is based on the fusion of the cultures of East and West. Vladivostok is a city where there are signs in several languages: Russian, Chinese and English. We reflected this in both the brand and design. The ornament system was based on traditional Slavic and Asian forms of application. We reworked local culture codes into objects of primitive form, each of which became part of the unique ornament of Vladivostok. The resulting objects fit into a square, forming a block system that gives rise to a grid that turns the ornament into an illustration. The logo, being a semantic continuation of the project, is made in Latin letters and combines the style typical of traditional Cyrillic and Asian fonts. The letter S is designed in such a way that it fits seamlessly into the developed symbolic model.
