Rohingya women constitute over half a million refugees at the overcrowded Cox Bazar area of Bangladesh that faces heavy rainfall & flooding every year. They live in unsanitary conditions & face socio-cultural stigma around menstruation. 'Wun' takes biomimetic inspiration from the lattice structure of the Venus Flower Basket to create a shared courtyard for these women. The multi-functional space is designed to withstand flooding & consists ofa community courtyard surrounded by3 domed tents - one each for private toilets, a laundry & washing facility, & a unit for gynecology consultation.

The space derives its title from the Burmese word for a home courtyard since it is a language widely spoken among Rohingya refugees. 

The visual identity and branding of the space are encapsulated in a thoughtfully designed logo, portraying a central courtyard surrounded by three symbolic circles representing the proposed domed tents in our innovative design intervention. This logo reflects the resilience, safety and interconnectedness at the core of 'Wun'.

The color palette mirrors both the visual cues of the surrounding landscape as well as the diverse materials comprising the space design. This palette allows for the space to blend seamlessly into the camp and the heart of the refugees living there.

The poster design comprehensively illustrates this groundbreaking project to be pitched to the UNHCR with the hope for it to transform lives in reality and drive social change. The visual representation captures the essence of our project, highlighting its concept, features and functions.
