I am Sumangla, an independent design director👩‍💻, based in San Francisco🌉 with over 5 years of design experience. Currently, I am working at OddCommon as Design Director on contract basis where my job is to design comparison app for Beats Earbuds that will be showcased in all Apple stores countrywide. I am also working as a freelance Principal social media designer for Second Harvest of Silicon Valley which involves designing their e-newsletters and holiday campaigns and brand videos. Recently I just finished my contract at AKQA as a Senior Visual Designer where my role was to handle UI-UX and interaction projects for various big clients like Uber, IBM and Coca Cola. I also worked at Gold front as a Senior Visual designer and designed the website for Hoist. Along with that I worked as a visual designer (Contractor) at Emotive where I got a chance to design brands and websites for multiple B2B startups including Moveworks, SPUR, Skyflow. Before this I worked as a Media Design Specialist at Cogs & Marvel. There I designed new digital media activations for big clients like Adobe, Tik Tok and Google. In the past I have worked at Landor, San Francisco (a member of WPP Group) as a full time Graphic Designer in 2019. My former position at Landor had given me the opportunity to work on several successful branding projects with clients like Samsung, Purple, Wanda 3.0, Office Depot, Teck, Accenture, Riot Games, Hyundai, Intel, and Trane Technologies amongst others. I graduated with an MFA 👩‍🎓in Graphic Design from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Baltimore.
