Pathways for Little Feet was established in 2008, based on the principal “trusting God to direct our paths” (Proverbs 3: 5-6). The Adoption Financial Assistance Program, formally known as The Family Fund, started as a ministry to help families overcome financial barriers to adoption. The program has since expanded to include additional programs.//Little Plates is an annual fundraiser to support Pathways for Little Feet. The night consists of a delicious cocktail reception, small plate tasting, silent auction, and chef competition where more than a dozen local Houston Chefs compete for fun categories. All proceeds benefit Pathways for Little Feet.//We designed an invitation that upon opening, helps guests immediately recognize the sophistication of the fundraiser. The invitation hosts an abundance of information, including administrative teams and committees, donation information, participating restaurants, and more. Our goal was to create an easily digestible, refined, and enjoyable experience for the guest flipping through the pages.//The unique die-cut allows the front panel to act as the “plate” shape that normally encompasses the logotype when used on other materials. When fully opened, the last panel remains uncovered so that guests can always see the most important information, the donation cause and reason for the fundraiser.//The color pairing of sage and deep teal, also used throughout the event signage, is a regal palette to convey an understated elegance. The careful font pairings greatly impact the design and intended message of the invitation. The serif font communicates the formality of the event, while the script font is just formal enough, but approachable, alluding to the fun to be had at the reception. Spot gloss finishes of a fork and spoon pattern are a final touch to add a layer of texture and sophistication to the invitation.
