The goal of this project was to bring together two industries, aviation and space insurance, into
a single space: Aerospace. While aviation insurance is primarily focused on the needs of the aviation
customer, space insurance focuses on satellites, rockets and government programs. Though very
different industries, it was necessary for us to create a website that incorporated both in a cohesive
manner, while displaying each industry’s distinct differences.
The design for this project centers around a color scheme depicting the sky. If the user goes to
the aviation page from anywhere on the website, there is a video that mimics flying through the
atmosphere as well as images of turbines and airplanes. In contrast, if the user enters the page for Space
insurance, the color tones are much darker, reminiscent of the night sky, with a video showing Earth
from orbit.
The finalized website reflects our commitment to our community by showcasing employees
within the industry that have personal experience in the insurance they are selling. For instance,
everyone working for aviation is either a pilot, aircraft owner or mechanic.
